Some of the outcomes of having faith in God are as follows:
- Belief in the Creator of the world creates equality and fraternity in Islamic society.
- Faith in the one God puts an end to all fake privileges and regards all people to be the servants of one God and to be equal before law.
- With remembrance of God and dominance of divine law, the society’s interests are given priority. Overlooking personal interests for the sake of the society can be justifiable if one believes that God will make up for it and this can only be achieved with belief in God.
- Faith in God promotes unity among nations. It is also the best leverage against oppressors and Taghuts.
- One who has faith in God feels love and is motivated. He knows that all of his deeds are overseen and none of them are destroyed. He knows that his good deeds will be rewarded by God and even some of his good intentions will be rewarded.
- One who has faith in God does everything for the sake of God and does not seek pretention and hypocrisy. He also stays away from fraud and deceitfulness because he knows that he is in the presence of God everywhere he goes.
- One who has faith in God has dignity because he knows he is a servant of God and will not bow before anyone but God and will not fear anyone but God. “(They) fear Him and fear none except Allah.” (Verse 39 of Surah Al-Ahzab)
- One who has faith in God views all people as servants of God and avoids any discrimination. Imam Ali (AS) did not discriminate among Arabs and non-Arabs when distributing the money of Bait ul-Mal. When asked why he gives all the same amount of money, he said because the God of all of them is one.
- One who has faith in God upholds justice and respects other people’s rights. He does not pay attention to hues and cries and only tries to fulfil his responsibility.
- One who has faith in God does not move toward vices and evil activities out of fear of poverty because he knows that God is the one who provides sustenance for all. Such a person also does not avoid getting married out of fear of poverty. God says in Verse 32 of Surah An-Nur: “If you are poor, God will make you rich through His favor; He is Bountiful and All-knowing.”
